اللَّيْلَةُ الأُولَى مِنْ رَبِيعُ الأَوَّلِ، بَعْدَ اثْنِي عَشَرَ سَنَةً مِنْ بَدَايَةِ مِهَمَّتِهِ الإِلَهِيَّةِ، هَاجَرَ النَّبِيُّ الْمُطَهَّرُ مِنَ مَكَّةَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ. فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ اخْتَبَأَ فِي غَارِ ثَوْرٍ. ضَحَّى عَلِيٌّ (عليه السلام) نَفْسَهُ لِلْخَفَاءِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ (صلى الله عليه وآله) حَتَّى يَصِلَ بِأَمْنٍ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ. وَفِي هَذَا اللَّيْلِ تَجَسَّدَ شَجَاعَةُ عَلِيٍّ وَحُبُّهُ لِلنَّبِيِّ (صلى الله عليه وآله)، فَأَوْحَى اللَّهُ تَعَالَى فِي هَذَا الْحَدَثِ الْكَرِيمِ: "وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَشْرِي نَفْسَهُ ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاتِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ رَؤُوفٌ بِالْعِبَادِ" (البقرة 2/207).
فِي الْيَوْمِ الأَوَّلِ مِنْ رَبِيعُ الأَوَّلِ، يُسْتَحَبُّ الصِّيَامُ وَزِيَارَةُ قُبُورِهِمْ وَقِيَامُ الدُّعَاءِ. وَفِي الثَّامِنِ مِنْ رَبِيعُ الأَوَّلِ، وافته المنية الإمام الحسن العسکری (عليه السلام) وَتَوَلَّى ابْنُهُ، حَافِظُ الزَّمَانِ، الإمامةَ. وَفِي الْيَوْمِ التَّاسِعِ مِنْ رَبِيعُ الأَوَّلِ يُحْتَفَل بِعِيدِ الْبَقْرِ، وَيُسْتَحَبُّ الإحسان، وَإطعامُ المساكين، وَالتَّصَالُحُ، وَشُكْرُ الله، وَمُحَافَظَةُ العِبَادَةِ.
On the first night of Rabi’ al-Awwal, twelve years after the beginning of his Divine Mission, the Holy Prophet migrated from Makkah to al-Madinah, hiding in Cave Thawr. Imam Ali (a.s.) sacrificed himself to allow the Prophet safe passage, displaying his bravery, love, and loyalty. Almighty Allah immortalized this event with the verse: 'And among men is he who sells himself to seek the pleasure of Allah; and Allah is Affectionate to the servants. 2/207'
On the 1st of Rabi’ al-Awwal, it is recommended to fast, visit their holy tombs, and recite the supplicatory prayers. On the 8th of Rabi’ al-Awwal AH 260, Imam al-Hasan al-’Askari passed away, and his son, the Patron of the Age, became the twelfth Imam. The 9th of Rabi’ al-Awwal is ‘Id al-Baqr, a feast day. It is recommended to give alms, offer food, reconcile with others, give gifts to family, thank Almighty Allah, and perform acts of worship.
Usiku wa kwanza wa Rabi’ al-Awwal, miaka kumi na mbili baada ya kuanza kwa Utume wa Kimungu wa Mtume Mtukufu, alihama kutoka Makkah kwenda al-Madinah, akijificha katika Pango la Thawr. Imam Ali (a.s.) alijitoa ili kumruhusu Mtume kufika salama, akionesha ujasiri, upendo, na uaminifu wake. Mwenyezi Mungu aliufanya tukufu tukio hili kwa aya: 'Na miongoni mwa watu wapo wanaouza nafsi yao kwa ajili ya kupata radhi ya Allah; na Allah ni Mwenye huruma kwa wafuasi wake. 2/207'
Kwenye siku ya 1 ya Rabi’ al-Awwal, ni bora kufunga, kutembelea makaburi matukufu, na kusoma dua. Siku ya 8 ya Rabi’ al-Awwal AH 260, Imam al-Hasan al-’Askari alikufa, na mtoto wake, Mlinzi wa Wakati, akawa Imam wa kumi na mbili. Siku ya 9 ya Rabi’ al-Awwal ni ‘Id al-Baqr, ni siku ya sherehe. Ni bora kutoa sadaka, kutoa chakula, kusameheana, kutoa zawadi kwa familia, kumshukuru Mwenyezi Mungu, na kufanya ibada.
